Backend developer and system architect, ELT and EdTech

Deniz Jamalzadeh

I build reliable, scalable infrastructure for English language training. My focus is clean architecture, secure multi-tenant systems, and software that stays dependable under real workload.

About

I lead development on ELTica, an end-to-end SaaS platform for CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, and related teacher-training programmes. It handles the full application lifecycle, from pre-application tasks and interview scheduling through to certificate issuance, for training centres and their trainees.

My day-to-day covers API design, data modelling, background job pipelines, real-time messaging, and role-based access across a multi-tenant architecture. I care about systems that are correct under load, easy to reason about, and that make centres more operationally efficient.

I also take on ELT-adjacent projects: custom platforms, integrations, and tools for centres and publishers that need software shaped around how they actually work.

I go by Deniz in Turkish settings and Sahand in Persian. Same person, one practice.

What I do

I spend a lot of my time solving problems with code, but it usually starts before that, with noticing what feels off. Things people repeat without questioning. Steps that do not need to exist. Flows that almost make sense, but not quite. That slight wrongness is what gets my attention, and once I notice it I tend to stay with it until I understand where it actually comes from.

From there it is about building something that removes the friction rather than works around it. Making things a bit simpler, a bit more reliable. Cutting the repetition, clarifying how things move, getting a system to behave in a way that feels natural rather than forced. I pay attention to the small details because that is almost always where the real problem is hiding, not in the obvious places, but in the quiet gaps between them.

Nothing too dramatic. I just like leaving things easier than I found them.
